Sarita Ranchod
Sarita has more than 25 years of global experience working at the intersections of diversity, equity and the inclusion of marginalised groups; women and girls' rights and empowerment; and persistent inequalities and inequities.
She provides strategic advisory services and technical assistance; undertakes evaluations, assessments and reviews; facilitates strategic and learning processes; and offers specialist research services to advance positive social change.
Sarita works at local, regional and global levels with several UN agencies; local and international NGOs; international development agencies; philanthropies; and policy, research and academic institutions.
As a Nelson Mandela scholar, she read for an MA in Gender and Development at the Institute of Development Studies, University of Sussex, United Kingdom. Her undergraduate degree in Political Studies and Journalism & Media Studies is from Rhodes University, South Africa.
Her approaches are guided by the desire to contribute to creating a more fair and just world; integrating creativity, a lived understanding of intersectionality, feminist, and holistic ways of being and doing. She is widely published in her areas of interest.
